New Plant

KA26 CCPP - Features

Added values & corresponding advantages for the customer

> Low Load Operational Concept (LLOC)

  • Increased operational flexibility
  • Lower energy consumption during “parking” at low-load operation point during off-peak periods such as over-night or at weekends
  • Opportunities for additional ancillary services, as plant remains on-line and can be ramped up to full load·in short time.
  • Possible cost savings (lower fuel consumption at low-load operating point compared to higher, minimum environmental technical limit (METL) load point; substitutes stop/start event)

> Partial load: flexibility and efficiency

  • Increased flexibility through lower minimum technical level of power plant load (within NOx emission limit)

> NOx emissions at full load and at part load

  • No de-rating
  • Cost savings as no catalyst is needed with the associated continuous operation & maintenance costs for the ammonia system, (efficiency advantage, no ammonia slippage to environment from catalyst)

> Fuel Flexibility

  • Excellent ability to handle different gas compositions with higher content of high hydrocarbons (C2+) and/or inert gases
  • Wide variation in gas composition w/out hardware changes
  • Able to handle varying gas fuels with high variation in Wobbe Index

> Power augmentation – inlet cooling

  • Very low investment and maintenance cost for a significant power increase
